Preparing Your Application
Show excellent academic achievement in every subject, with a concentration on science courses in particular (GPA 3.5 or higher strongly desired).
- Perform well on the MCAT, the Medical College Admission Test.
- Exhibit a deep familiarity with the medical field in order to comprehend the standards of the industry by:
- Observing multiple medical professionals, such as a general practitioner and specialists in various fields.
- Obtaining a paid job or considerable experience providing direct patient care through volunteer work.
- Participating in extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and community service.
- Looking for leadership positions in sports, churches, clubs, or groups.
- Carrying out own study and research to gain a deeper comprehension of the scientific literature.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work with a diverse group of people, and a desire to help others.
