Earn Your Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Administrators will help students secure all clinical sites and student preceptors to ensure high-quality and meaningful experiential opportunities. If you’re a BSN-prepared registered nurse (RN) who aspires to practice at the highest advanced level or work as a nursing executive, earning a DNP degree can help you reach your career goals.

FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER TRACK

As an FNP, you will be prepared to work as an independent healthcare practitioner or a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team in a range of settings from hospitals and clinics to rehabilitation centers and private practices.

The FNP curriculum totals 71 credit hours. Courses are delivered face-to-face, online, and in hybrid format. Advanced nursing coursework includes but is not limited to:
  • pathophysiology;
  • advanced health assessment;
  • pharmacology;
  • differential judgment;
  • diagnostic testing and interpretation;
  • leadership;
  • policy;
  • information management;
  • translation of evidence into practice; and
  • primary care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, women, and geriatric patients.
Students enrolled full-time can complete the program in about eight semesters.
