If you’re a BSN-prepared registered nurse (RN) who aspires to practice at the highest advanced level or work as a nursing executive, earning a DNP degree can help you reach your career goals. ## Family Nurse Practitioner Track As an FNP, you will be prepared to work as an independent healthcare practitioner or a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team in a range of settings, from hospitals and clinics to rehabilitation centers and private practices. The FNP curriculum totals 71 credit hours. Courses are delivered face-to-face, online, and in a hybrid format. Advanced nursing coursework includes, but is not limited to: - pathophysiology; - advanced health assessment; - pharmacology; - differential judgment; - diagnostic testing and interpretation; - leadership; - policy; - information management; - translation of evidence into practice; and - primary care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, women, and geriatric patients.
